In remembrance

The Hawaii State Hospital, which has provided psychiatric care to Hawaii residents since opening in 1930, honored past and present patients Wednesday at the 19th annual Remembrance Service at the Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaneohe. Pacific Health Ministry led the ceremony, which was open to the public. Kristine, who didn’t give a last name; state hospital chaplain Chuck Card; Lucas Warren; and chaplain Scott Bergen, also of the State Hospital, laid lei on the plaque with the names of 668 people, with 127 identified as unknown, memorialized on it.
